Why Camino de Dragones?
It all started thanks to friends who regularly participated in the legendary Hood To Coast race, a 199-mile relay in Oregon (USA) with more than 1,000 teams. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and in 2013 we organized a similar race in the Czech Republic. That’s how the Vltava Run was born, which quickly became the most popular relay race in the country, loved by tens of thousands of runners. One day we asked ourselves: could such a race be organized in Catalonia? The answer was clear: yes! And that’s how Camino de Dragones came to life.
Camino de Dragones is a relay race from the Pyrenees to Barcelona, following a 330-kilometer route along hiking trails, forest paths, and rural tracks. It crosses mountains and hills, charming towns and villages, traveling from north to south through some of the most spectacular landscapes of Catalonia. In short, the most beautiful way to reach the finish line.
